Totally depends on the quality of the vehicle before hand and the quality of the job.. I have to say tho, clive is an ace name for a van! haha

It would not be worth it mate on an older van. I would say that for a reasonable job your looking at 6 to 8 hundred quid or 3 to 4 hundred quid for a cash in hand job thats reasonable. The price of vans at the minute in thru the floor and IMO it would probably be best to buy a newer van instead. Rusty arches will allways be a pain and need to be done right for a respray otherwise they shine thru after a short time.

Id just get it touched up bro. Rust work done and patch sprayed. Bit of t cut and the whole thing looks far better for a cheaper price. It makes sense. Full resprays are a big job, take alot of prep and offer little extra value to the motor after its done. Just getting the arches done is oten a big boost to how it looks and alot of rust can be cut back with a can of t cut.

How old is the van and how much do you think its worth? Diy is an option depending on your skills and how bad the rust is...

I would get a few cans of T cut and just see how it comes out. Cost you no more than a tenner and a days graft. Take things from there bro :)

You can sand out the rust and fill it over and if all the rust has gone then i may stay away for a while. If its uber rusty, it will need to be cut out, plated and then filled and painted properly. For what it'll cost you, sand it down, fill and prime it up and buy a pre mixed spray can and just do the arches. Itll cost about £30 quid and if it comes back then you know you have to get it done properly. Its a van at the end of the day... My van is a 2000 model ex post van, ive just welded plates along the cills and painted them red for an mot. It looks crap when your close but it passed and its road legal...

Theres no point paying for labour bro if you can avoid it as thats the main cost on job like these. Good luck with it mate and I hope you can sort it without much expense.
