Whats a safe amount of Zinc??

Hi,
Me and my partner have started taking some vits with 15mg Zinc and also we are taking a zinc tablet seperate, which means we are taking 30mg each per day. I have read on some websites that over 25mg day can be bad for your immune system, or even toxic! is there any truth in this??

Most ZMA servings contain 30mg so I cant see it being a problem

It depends on loads of things, including how much exercises and what type, but generaly i've never had negative issues with 30mg zinc, just be aware of the absorption and receptor competition associated with zinc and calcium etc. I must say though that zinc on an empty stomach sometimes makes me feel very sick for a little while.

I've taken up to 60mg for weeks on end and never had a problem.

Too much zinc can cause loss of iron and copper in the body.

My daily intake is 38 mg now, so no problem
