Where do I put deadlifts?
12 January 2013 22:24
( permalink)
Hello. It's been a long time since I've been here - lots of stuff has happened in my life over the past couple of years (yep, years) and I haven't really focused on my training. My question is: After a lot of trial and error, I've worked out I respond best to a push/pull/legs routine. I'm obviously doing squats on legs day, would DLs go on back day? I know this is a really basic question, but I've only recently started doing a variation of both, due to other issues.

Sorted. Cheers for the replies. Did them today - very light, I have to go super easy - in fact so easy I was able to do them at the end of the workout! It's going to be a long haul back to full recovery...

Personally I'd put deads on leg day as its quads hammers and glutes that are the prime movers

Yogi Bear Anyone else left feeling drained after deads? I often do and feel the rest of my workout can suffer as a result Yeh completely agree, zaps all my energy lol. I just try to do heavy deadlifts one week going to complete failure and higher reps the next leaving a bit in the tank. Works for me personally.
