I was saying to my mate(on the first night) that Shaun needed more oil, as he looked dry compared to the others, thus not showing the cuts so well under the lights. He did look great whilst going through the mandatory poses on his own though, it was only when they stood together that he looked to be missing something. ...on the second night he looked much improved (extra oil was evident too). His back is not quite there, which he knows, hence why he favours frontal poses in his routine. I want to see this guy bring it up.
Rockel never seems to fair as well as I think he should, but it is tough to call. I like what he brings alot and he looked really good, he too just lacks the larger back that the big(ger) boys bring.
Branch looked better on the first night, but delivers quality and consistency. On a light note i'm beginning to think Johnnie Jackson is becoming his negative, they have a very similar bulk, with the only differences coming from legs and traps (Branch with better the legs, JJ with larger traps)
FLEX!!! The best physique on stage at any weight, and the routine that got the loudest response (BB is officially a spectator sport) What else is there to say ...but i'll try: He looked classic but had current size, he was cut and had lines where no one else did, hams and glutes carved, as were his quads, lines in his tris, feathered lower back, awesome lat spread (cut with size), the rest was all big ticks too- great balance, spot on conditioning and if that wasn't enough (the bit that can't be bought/taught or fought for) he's genetically gifted with great shape and symmetry.
A great night to a great day (the strong men really got stuck in), awesome!
