Nigeepoo See Oil, sesame, salad or cooking It has a very strong flavour so you don't eat very much per serving. its gorgeous! i currently use about 20ml of EVOO, and 30ml of walnut oil per day. i reckon i could easily get through 10-15ml of sesame oil per day added onto my salads and rice

Have to add some of this to various things i'm cooking. The aroma just adds so much to the taste of things i am fuller with less food
Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

mate, I love toasted sesame oil and add a dash to several dishes, salad sauces, stir fries etc. But dont heat it, just add it when the cooking has been done. I'm rubbish at explaining about fats, forget whether it's saturated or unsaturated and quite honestly cant be bother keeping up to date on which is bad or good for you. But as far as I understand toasted sesame oil is not a "good oil", the clear sesame oil can be heated to cook with and is a "better" oil. Hopefully an oil expert can expand on that.

cheers, havent been cooking with it mate, if im frying i either do it dry, with a very small amount of veg oil, or with butter if i want more fat in the pan. ive just been using it in either home made salad dressings or sprinkled on rice/potatoes etc

fine in moderation like you're using it, I do too. But I don't think you can add it to your range of "good fats"

Northern Rocker fine in moderation like you're using it, I do too. But I don't think you can add it to your range of "good fats" wasnt so much about adding it to my good fats, as it was trying to account for it in my fat intake and keep my o3 intake high enough to achive a decent ratio

dazc James Is this the light or dark sesame oil? the dark one, does it make a difference? More from a culinary point of view as the light oil is more for cooking and dressings; the dark for flavourings and marinades
