training sides of the abs?

is it possible to train one one side of the abs(rectus abdominis) more than the other? by twisting/bending to one side does this train one side or just the obliques? if not then how is one side of my abs bigger than the other? everything is perfectly symetrical apart from the size and my lower right ab only shows when i do an intense workout. i am convinced this isnt genetics as i have had an even 6 before, could this be posture related or somthing to do with spine?

I boxed for years as a southpaw and my left side obliques are now very visible compared to the right side from twisting my torso when punching, but my rectus abdominis are visible on both sides just as evenly so i don't believe that you can train one side of the rectus abdominis more than the other. I could be wrong and would like to see what other peoples opinions are of this
