I've been spending some good time with family and friends + the missus and the main topic has revolved around what i am going to do with my bodybuilding.

Family and friends have offered their full support and want to travel to all my shows, the girlfriend has also helped me out with my diet by ensuring the cupboards are stacked full of things i can eat.

Looking between the NABBA and UKBFF feds it seems a choice has to be made with which one to stick with in terms of career progression. Yup, i consider my bodybuilding a career choice...albeit not one that offers financial reward but one that i feel i was born to partake in. I work my 9-5 job but use my free time to pursue this avenue.

I have no urge to compete as a pro but i do as a top level amatuer and it seems NABBA offers more for the amatuer bodybuilder than the UKBFF with the Mr Britain, Universe, Worlds etc.

It raises a few issues as to compete at that level, it requires sacrifice and one of them through the use and abuse of AAS is fertility.
Things between me and my girlfriend are amazing and i do feel like i have truelly found 'the one', in as much as it sounds crazy we both feel the same way and the subject of kids has come up a fair few times. Next year i would be taking a year off from competing before smashing competitions for 1-2 years before taking more time off.

She is aware of how show prep and blast/cruising while bulking effects fertility and after long discussions we decided we will be actually trying for a baby after my current show.
So watch this space for announcements!

jesus mate - mini incredible_bulks running about??? the thought is enough to make me "stay on" for the rest of my life.......

(just joking mate) sounds like things are going really well between the two of you, its fantastic that she understands the demands and sometimes selfishness that this pursuit can have.
i think a year off competing will do you well and will give you a chance to spend some time with her and you can only come back bigger, stronger & leaner!
