better to add in regular cardio, so I started cycling every other day, about 40-50 minutes. It was winter and the cold made my nose sore, so I switched to 30 minutes of cardio in the gym after training.
My body fat dropped significantly (people started asking me if I was ill) I think it can only be the extra intensity allowed by the safer environment. When cycling outdoors you have to keep your wits about you if you want to stay alive, for me that meant not really going for it that much...and it's too easy to coast along on a bike.
In the gym I make myself work much harder, and those handy number on the machine tell me exactly how hard I'm working.
30 mins in the gym does more than 50 mins on the road...so thats a result!
