ukbff birmingham what a joke !!

just drove from northampton to the show only to spend an hour along with over 100 others in the rain to be told its sold out. 95 competetors, the venue holds around 400, it doesnt take much to work out that most competetors with bring lots of supporters with them. i hope it didnt ruin the competetors day to much as i no if i was competing i would enjoy it better if all my friends where there

its this kind of thing that is stopping bodybuilding growing and enjoying better audiences.
 
i bet there were plenty in that queue that have never been to a show before, and probably will never bother trying to go again!

yea there was lots of long faces. on the plus side nandos was next to the place and was packed with bodybuilders eating chicken booom :)

i guess the organisers were too cautious.  they were probably afraid of not selling out a bigger venue and loosing money on the show.

I also was in the long line of people and was told that (sold out) , a bigger venue was double booked so that the show should of been at and that did hold alot more people.
 
There is no reason in todays world mess ups should happen.

I drove from Lincolnshire to watch the show.........disappointed not to get in but also disappointed at the lack of communication to the people queueing in the rain for an hour.
I think the moral of the story is to buy ticket in advance!

Lots of teething problems at this event, sure the organisers will put right. This dosnt help all that had travelled up only to be told they cant come in. Had a few i had to call to tell them to turn round and go home! (bummer). 99 competories late start and rushing the big uns on at end!!! On the plus side I won!! :)))))

99 competitors? That's got to be some sort of record for a qualifer.
 
But if it's sold out, then it's sold out.  Venues can be hard to get and organise.  What more can the organisers do?

more communication would be good. smaller venue because of whatever reason, make sure you buy your tickets in advance to avoid dissapointment. job done!!. if that was posted on here and FB then it would have been our fault if we couldnt get in

thats cause your good at organising events james. i think the only one that wasnt perfect was the first muscletalk show in bedford. England were playing germany in the world cup, but not even you could have prodicted that :)

Its a tough one - you can't help how big your venue is, you can only get one that you think will be big enough. If for some reason its not, then you only really have the next show to work on, nothing you can do on the day.

Yes I was another who couldn't get in. You could get at the trade stands even to get supplements. Spent the afternoon looking at the Staffordshire Hoard in the museum opposite instead.
