see if you have a dongle u top up with a voucher and theres a cnut, u set up an email and u let them kno theyre a cnut and theyre in for a beat down then the cnut runs to the police cryin, rubbin his eyes, obviously they cant trace u to a bank account or contract but can the police triangulate ur location?

yes they can trace you to within 8.7 meters of your location. 8.45 meters if using the latest technology, just from your 3G signature. Beware.
 
they can, and probably have also digitally enhanced and enlarged your picture so they even know 'who' they are looking for. 
 
remember, whatever you do on the internet leaves a footprint that will remain there for ever and can be used to identify you.
 
e.g from you posting here we know you are a small time criminal called gavin who is on the run from the police, you are posting from IP x.x.x.x and have an geo-location of lat xxx lon yyy (I have left this part out for your sake, easy to find if you know how but I wont post it here) you post at certain times of the day from the same locations so you are VERY traceable and if they want you they will come and get you. Probably too busy at the moment dealing with real criminals, but you have alerted yourself to the law here in the past by abusing a policeman IIRC so thats you, your will now be firmly on the radar im afraid. Picture, location, the lot.
 
I just google earthed your geo-location by the way - I dont like the look of where you are living at all mate and that dog must drive you nuts!
 

Technically you could be pretty screwed - the location could be logged and if the victim knows who you are , the info could technically be used to show it was you, then he could press charges. 
       But in reality I really couldn't see the Police bothering to trace someone "from scratch" though -  I certainly can't see them bothering to locate  keyboard warriors otherwise they'd be opening up a huge full time occupation for themselves.

If you are really serious about internet anonimity, you should use an encrypted VPN proxy server to mask your internet traffic from your ISP. You preferrably want one that does not keep any internet logs so that any legal action could not force them to provide the authorities with information as there is none to give. Most of them range from £5-£20 per month, but do your research, its best to use one that is has an endpoint in a country that has no legal responsibility to assist the UK and like I say does not keep logs.
Examples are BTGuard, ItsHidden, T0rrentPrivacy, Ipreditor, Faceless, AirVPN, VPNReactor, BlackVPN to name a few. Some will also allow T0rrent protocols which is nice if you like that sort of thing.
Privacy is important, although its important to remember this shouldnt be abused for illegal activity. Anonymous encrypted VPNs are perfectly legal, its what you do with them that can get you in trouble!!

    This is bang on - over my lifetime seen / heard about plenty of threats, and plenty of kickings ....and my conlusion is never the twain shall meet !
        Were the kickings preceded with a threat ?  only very rarely ...... Were the threats followed up with a kicking ?  ..... again very rarely !
