alright people, just started my 8 week course of var(first course), 80mgs a day been training for 2 years now, 6ft 1, and about 14st 7/10lbs (carring some fat around the stomach area) question 1: what and when should i expect to see results? in the gym i've sorta reached a down point in my weights, my strenght hasn't moved in 5/6months so hopefully this wee course will give me the kick i need i believe var is good for strenght gains from what i've red i'm only after a some size and abit more shape so strenght should come with these and i thought var would be my ticket, also seeing its very few sides any comments welcome + advice

var isnt really the right thing to use if you just want size. itll help you cut up a bit if you get your diet and training right, but chances are if your on a bulking diet you wont be able to cut on var very effectively as youll be eating too much. var is pretty decent for developing strength though, so if you want more strength, up your weights and lower your rep ranges while your on var and you should get past your strength gain platue. if i was in your possition and i wanted a bit of size from an oral with low sides, i wouldve gone for tbol. if i wanted to cut up a bit or add strength from a low sides oral, then yeah, var is the way (but not on a bulking diet).

Yeah you're not going to see any size gains from it, just strength and hardness mostly. I think any cycle should have a base of test in it... test prop and var would have been a good cycle.

i can understand people that dont wanna do injectables, although i agree, test should generally be the fundamental part of a cycle, much better results that way. i ran an oral cycle before i psyched myself up to do injectables, so i can see why people would run orals only. i still dont think var is the right choice here though. low side effect oral with half decent size gains has gotta be tbol.

cheers on the feed back mega, i know a test cycle would be the best first time course but sides bother me alot i.e acne but i red var has some size issues, as i said i'm only after a little but probley as it strips off the fat i'll just think i'm getting more size but i'll give it a throw and maybe venture too a test cycle next time around if the var makes me very lean then a test cycle next might make me look like a monster (lol)

jsut remember, what little size var can give you, it will only give you on a bulking diet. if you want to use it to cut, youll need to put yourself on a cutting diet, which will mean you wont have the calories to gain size or strength. its a case of one or the other.

My first cycle was a var cycle. It'll help push you past a plateau and you might even gain a little. Post-cycle more strength will stay with you than other enhancers. My first REAL cycle ran on a base of test, the gains were a whole new level. I dealt with the acne using nizoral shampoo, which I swear by. It which contains a natural DHT inhibitor. I was very nervous about doing a test cycle but in the end I found that the sides were not as big as I imagined. Good luck with dipping your toes in the waters of the dark side. Just remember that once you open pandoras box, you can never close it again.

thats true actually, youll keep more of the gains you make off var than with most other compounds. I thought DHT inhibitors stopped you getting hairloss? does it stop acne too? bonus, haha. if i were you i would stick with a bulking type diet, although not as heavy on the cals, and use it to get past your sticking point in terms of strength. or use it to cut and adjust your diet accordingly. youll run in to difficulties if you try and do both.

be careful with hairloss products (if you are losing your hair) At your height/ weight ratio you dont need steds yet. You can bulk on just food alone. If you're going to cycle. I have done a good few Var cycles. Strength went up when using it. Wouldn't say it's much of a 'bulking drug' though. Although vascularity improved.

I did a var cycle. I gained a fair amount of weight to be honest. I would say about 8lbs. My training was on point and I bulked up a bit though with hindsight I think I could of done this other ways. Dont get me wrong var was great but I felt like I used it in the wrong way. Like mega says I would of used tbol second time around. Though it was a fun 'cycle' so to speak and I think when I do eventually decide to cut I will use it but with a proper test base as I hear time and time again this will magnify results, gotta be some truth in it!

yeah thats a good call there gala, var with a low dose test base will get you a great cut, ill be doing exactly that when it comes time for me to cut, but il be running clen with it.
