I would sort your diet and workout routine first mate, then add any supplements you may require. I used whey and creatine right from the start I must admit. I also used pre-workout supplements sooner than I actually needed to. But then I've enjoyed trying the various supps out there! The answer is that you shouldn't need any (especially as you will get beginner's gains if you nail the diet and routine) but as always, the choice is yours!

As said you need to get your diet and training sorted. The only supps i used when i started out was Whey/Creatine/Multi vitamin.

This will help greatly in getting your diet sort :) http://www.muscletalk.c...rticle-mass-gaining.aspx In terms of starting out: 1) Get your training sorted and consistant 2) Get a good eating plan sorted (doesn't need to be 100% planned, but does need to be clean and you should start to learn about food when you start out in my opinion) - the plan above will definately help! 3) Add in supplements when you've got the above 2 sorted - basics come first, like a good protein powder, followed (imo) by some type of creatine, followed (again...purely imo) a good pre-workout supplement if you fancy giving something a try. Beyond that my supplement use tends to be based on what I like the sound of and what my goals are at the time. As above though, training and diet are where 90% of the gains will come - supplements assist with a good diet, and give you a bit of a boost!

i find a lot of water helps me as well. dont waste your money on supps mate. if they worked like they say they do, then what would be the need for testosterone. when i started i thought that products like no explode worked good. but at 30 pound a time, what a waste. now i just take a caffine pill an hour before i train. 3.99 for 100 pills. works better in my opinion. no supp will make you big unless you inject it ;) lol

Of course nothing is needed other than a good diet and training routine. Once you have worked out works for you with diet and training you can always introduce supplements later. The only ones I would suggest to take to begin with would be: Protein powder Fish Oils/Krill Oils

Thai is also a supp rep mate. That said both reps advice is valid and true.

Wilks Thai is also a supp rep mate. That said both reps advice is valid and true. This is true - I was also a poster on here for about 6yrs before BBW lol :) Nothing wrong with sups reps giving advice imo so long as it's good - tbh, most of the "industry" people I know were MASSIVELY into working out before they every started selling anything. For example, wasn't CNP started and run initially by bodybuilders for bodybuilders? Kerry, Dorian et al. all competed.

I agree Thai mate and my post wasn't a slur on supp reps. I was merely responding to the "hahaha. ^^^^^^^^^ supp rep. " post! :)

No worries mate - I think a lot of people think of sups companies as dodgy and "snake oil" salesmen lol....but tbh, if anyone ever saw my cupboard at home they'd see more supplements than your average GNC. Most of us are supplement junkies lol :)

Haha I bet! I don't have any problems with supps reps posting on the boards - in fact the more knowledgeable people around these parts that I can gain knowledge from, the better! You can still keep your snake oil to yourself though! :)
