MP True Whey is all you need, especially if you're on a budget.. You can use it in a home made shake adding milk, fine oats or weetabix, peanut butter, EVOO,

when are you looking to use the protein mate? post workout only? meal replacements? etc... also, if youve only been training for a few months leave all the extras for now, just focus on the essentials imo

No need to get to in depth at the start just get your diet right and a couple of shakes to supplement protein.

You don't need any TBH... Use them if necessary to supplement your diet. After training is when most use them. I use them for convenience as I travel alot / usually they work out cheaper than whole food alternatives too.

If you've got your diet sorted I would recommend a blend such as Total Protein, which contains fast and slow digesting proteins, but as mentioned above these are just to supplement your diet, as that really is the more important factor.
