Echo Supplements Generally chelated minerals are (significantly) better absorbed, and for the water soluble vitamins its better to take them with food, several times a day as the body can't store them - so for example if you took a 'one a day' in the morning there wouldn't be much left within the body when training in the evening. Thanks echo just seen your reply much appreciated

Smacky I've been using H&B ABC Plus for the past few years (Multi-vitamin and multi mineral formula). I tend to wait until they are half price. Got my last supply for £15 for 500 tabs. are these an ok product for bodybuilders???how does it compare with asdas own brand a-z multi vit?

A good indicator of the standard of ingredients used in multi-vitamin supplements is looking at B12. Poor quality ones will genereally use B12 cynocobalamin where as a higher standard multi will most likely use B12 methylcobalamin. There are other tell tale signs, but because B12 is the most expensive ingredient in the product, if they're using the best standard of it, it's normally safe to assume they're using high quality for most ingredients.

GoldenGaze Randy Watson I use these £35 for a years supply at 2 a day http://www.zipvit.co.uk/c...ency=Pounds%20Sterling That seems a very reasonable price, does anyone else recommend this product? Honestly looks like your bog standard low quality mutlti-vit. Wouldn't bother personally.

I use Alpha Men but they are quite expensive so I'm interested to see what peoples view on them is.

I don't understand why people see multi-vitamins as a commodity. There's always the advice to buy X or Y that's cheap, but the ingredient profiles are never the same from one to another. They should all be treated as different products - no two multi's are the same because they all contain different ingredients in different quantities. Personally I'd go for the one with the best reviews.

The ingredients on that aren't a patch on some of the others mentioned in this thread already like ON Opti-Men, NOW Adams etc.

Cotsios optimen :) This is what I'm using this month - it's an excellent formula. Personally, I'd either pick a good multi or not bother taking anything, and just make sure your diet's tip top.

Personally I don't see why people get overly concerned about the likes of these products, most are a waste of money and offer little in real mans terms e.g. if there were two of the exact same person and one took a multi vit for 12 months and the other didn't, what would the ingernal and external results be? I love fruit & veg and allow for this in my diet, maybe if I hated it then I'd understand the big concern over multi vit's.
