when counting macros do you bother taking away fiber? 16 January 2012 13:13 (permalink)
Most time I dont count kcal, but only macros. So for example there is 100g of brown rice, which is 77g carbs 2 g fat 7g protein according to a label. but it also has 3,5g fiber included. so do you remove this fiber from total carb count or just dont bother and count macros as given on a label? i just dont want to overcomplicate things but also dont want to be largely inaccurate

Wouldn't it be better to count cals mate and just use your macros as a guide line? Assuming youre either cutting or bulking of course. Do you know how many calories youre getting from your macros?

Fiber has already been subtracted from carbs in the uk I believe.
Packs here would show net carbs
Is only certain countries abroad that it isnt

I wouldn't give this a second thought unless you are competing.

the rise in your cortisol levels worrying about mino points lik this wil be nmore destructive than a few extra cals here and there.

Fibre has historically been absent as a source of calories in the UK diet according to our regulations - however, they changed the other year, and now 1g of fibre contributes 2kcal...

If the above isn't a good indicator that staring at the back of labels is largely a waste of time, I don't know what is, lol!!
