wide grip lat pull downs 20 March 2010 23:13 (permalink)
Ive been doing wide grip lat pull downs taking the bar upto my chest.

ive notice change in the shape of my back being slightly wider but this wide is around my arm pit around and not any lower.

am i doing something wrong in form or do i just give it time ?

try doing underhand grip pulldowns for a while, they will help bring up your lower lats.

use low pulley rows to stretch the lower area of your lats more during the movement.

your insertions high or low also determine how 'low' the lats hang on the back.

some bodybuilders have lats that start at their ass (columbo)

        or some start mid back
