12kcal Cornish pasty diet!

did anyone read this in today Metro??
I had a good giggle on the bus, a school teacher is about to enbark on a 7000km run in 80day, break some sort of record in the process. He will be running a double marathon EVERY DAY to cover the distance and will be burning around 12,000calories!

and guess who his sponsor is.....GINSTER PIES!!!! LOL

That is the last thing i would want to eat after a marathon is a ginster pie! i guess he would have to run and eat as well....sickly!

anyway good luck whoever you are!

His daily diet will look like:

Breakfast: 1 bowl of mashed up cornish pasty, mixed with milk and banana
Lunch: 1 Ham and mushroom slice with salad and a pint of gravy on the side to drink
Pre Run: Cheese and onion pasty with a scoop of dextrose and a banana
Post Run: 2 Cornish pasties and a bottle of Pasto-zade
Dinner: Minced pasty, potatoes and vegetables

Saw that myself, gave me a chuckle! Not particularly sure it's the best choice, and I'd be amazed if he could ever face eating another one by the time he finishes!!

At the minute I am cutting and eating a shed load of pasties sounds like heaven. The marathon running I feel I could miss out on though lol

Anybody got more info on this guy? I've been googling but no luck...I think people like this are fascinating and also a bit insane.
