not steroids, just taking everything that was put in front of him.
seems to be a ''beware'' story, but really it is a ''blame something/someone else''.
And while not trying to be insulting to the guy, stupid people do stupid things!

Thought so this ones been doing the rounds for a while now. He has nuerological damage due to massive/prolonged abuse of substances that include AAS. The damage is from pain killers though not AAS. As usual the media angle on it is based around steroids as a generic but the substances he was using go way beyond that. Its mainstream reporting that is spinning the problem he states himself that the pain meds are the ones he blames for the mental issues he is suffering. The heart problem is probably genetic defect massivley exacerbated by use of AAS and HGH. HGH is the more likely culprit there but again its just lumped in as steroids by mainstream media. Its incredibly sad but the message the guy is trying to get accross is lost on the reporter. He clearly states that whilst he has abused steroids for years he blames his issues on taking anything and everything and using his body as a chemical testing lab.... mental

^yup, and I'm not saying steroids are healthy, they ain't ! But in the grand scheme, i rank them lower than alcohol and rec. drugs and prescription meds.

steroids didnt do this to him though did it? Obviously it has nothing to do with the copious amount of recreational drugs he was taking and jsut being reckless in general! The media will jump on any scare story they can about steroids, I beleive most journo's that report these stories are uneducated fools.

Its not a lack of education. Any journalist can and will research the subject they are writing about. Its just laziness. Trying to explain the difference between the various substances a top level BB is using and the reasons for each substance would be hard going. The list for most of those guys is probably pages long then trying to explain that this drug does this and needs that drug to support it or to counter that side.... that would require a great deal of effort to explain. Then of course they would also have to report that this guy started using prescription pain killers, moved beyond those into recreational drugs and onto god alone knows what else to help with pain releif.... No all in all its much easier to just lump it all together and say "oh dear its a bbr he has abused steroids and now look at him"

Lack of discipline and self respect did this to him. Don't blame anything else other than poor judgment and a narcissistic ego.

Sounds like the guy had an appetite for self destruction, as he says "he would try anything" I have a neurological condition which effects my cerebellum and I experience slurred speech poor swallow and poor hand movements at least 2/3 times a week, I am not saying he isn't ill but he sure had it coming. Most deffinitely steriods alone did not do this .

I also watched this video and found it quite interesting and insightful to be honest

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_gxwliQY6iU

It also isn't the first ex pro that have heard say a lot of the problems started once they started use pain killers and other non-body building drugs!

If it hurts don't do it. The body is telling you something is wrong.
