2008 IFBB Men's European bodybuilding Championships

Team UK have just returned from Playa de Aro, Spain where the 2008 IFBB Men's European Bodybuilding Championships were held. We had three competitors at this event, and they were;

Sean Ferguson: classic 175cm
Lee Williams: U75kg class
Steve Graham: U85kg Class

Sean competed in a tough classic 175cm class and placed a respectable 9th.

Lee looked great, heavier than ive ever seen him and still retaining that grainny look. Lee placed 4th and could easily placed one or two places higher without any complaints.

Myself(steve), competed in the U85kg class. The dense, thick muscle that the top 6 were carrying just out gunned me slightly but placing 9th among guys of such a high calibre, made me happy enough. My condition was good and was much fuller than ive been previously.

    Steve is drastically under selling himself and also came in heavier than normal but retained that british hardness we tend to have. Unfortunately Steve was in one of the hardest categories of the day and there were some HUUUUUge muthers there, but im sure that this is the class that Steve looks best in and come the worlds will have made further improvements.

    Thanks again Lee. I think The U85kgs is the class for me as we spoke about after the comp. At last years worlds in november i weighed in at 78kg, so to weigh in, 5kg heavier whilst holding condition made me content in what id achieved. I felt fuller and just a more complete package at that weight so yeah, i think thats the weight il be competing at at the worlds. If i can improve more, come November, i wont be giving away just so much mass.
    Likewise, the U75kgs suited you perfectly, and it showed as you matched all on stage for mass and blew them away with condition(as usual).

    Yeah babyb, the details for August are starting to fall into place now and most of the arrangements are now sorted. The first year is always going to be a tester, but lets hope its turns out to be one of the well established ukbff shows in future years!!
