2.5 weeks into diet, is it alright?

Hi all.

Im just over 2 weeks into my new diet, so far ive mostly stuck to it except for the odd cheat meal (which isnt that bad anyway).

I was just wondering if there isnt anything else i should do to it?

Im not cutting, but not bulking either. I just want to be healthier before i start weights in a few weeks. Im doing 30 mins semi-intense cardio each morning plus sit ups/press ups. Im 5'10", about 11.5 stone and aged 23.

07:15 10g L Glutamine & 5ml Flaxseed Oil & Vitamins

07:30 30-40 Mins running

08:45 40g Whey & 1 bowl of Alpen 200ml skimmed milk, Banana

11:00 Low carb protein bar or 2 eggs on 1 toast

13:00 200g Cottage cheese on Wholemeal Toast & salad or Tuna sandwich & salad (1 tin)

16:00 20g Whey with water plus apple

18:30 Chicken, potatoes & Veg, or Spag Bol or Similar main meals

21:00 20g Whey

I think ive got all my bases covered but please point out if im missing anything as im going to be doing this for another few weeks and dont want to be missing anything essential.

Thankyou.

    Protein consumption isnt the highest.

20 grams of whey at 4pm and 9pm will hardly yield any protein at all.

Lack of EFAs apart from the flaxseed oil.

Not a lot of food either really on the whole.

Eat more real food, lose the whey, up the proteins, add some fats to a solid protein meal before bed too, dont have whey.

How about if I have 40g whey at 4pm plus 5ml flax with the apple, and 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs at 10pm?

I dont want to increase the calories too much at this point as i dont have a very physical job, im worried ill put on fat as im not weight training yet.

    thankyou for your input.

Have you a rough idea of calorie count? ? ?

Also how much protein, fats and carbs per day, i.e. how many grams? ? ?

without any changes it was roughly 1900 calories, 200g protein, 200 carbs.

My main meals change a fair bit so i cant give an exact amount im afraid.

11am meal isnt a lot of food and the 4pm and 9pm meals definatley arent.

I would just up calories in those meals from quality food sources, i.e. proteins, healthy fats, fibrous carbs, etc...

Does glutamine and flax count as fuel? Ill remove them if you say its best but i thought only carbs were fuel?

is there an effective way of increasing stamina while maintaining muscle? i quite like being able to run or do other cardio intense sports but i dont want to destroy muscle.

IS it worth getting a heart rate monitor?
