    What is your BF%?

Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym- you have to get your bodyfat to around 10%.

No amount of crunches, obliques or hanging upside down in ski boots will get you defined abs- you have to lower your body fat percentage.

If you are at 10% then you should have fairly defined abs right now. (Bastard!)
Do you want to make them come out then you can do what a lot of competition bodybuilders do prior to a comp.

For the sake of brevity I wont repeat everything- just look here:

i just checked it there and it 8.24%bf

How did you check your bf?

8.24 is incredibly low, your abs should be extremely well defined by now. If not, then its not a bf issue and your abdominal muscles simply aren't as big as you'd like.

haha. you got your estimate from some online calculator thing? from your description it sounds like you are about 15% maybe more.

No it really doesn't, shudn't even be able to see your abs at that percentage and he already said he can.

How old are you Adam? those calculators are only rough estimates and are usually for adults.

Would you be averse to posting up a pic of yourself? That would help a lot of the guys here in estimating whether the bf% you calculated for yourself is in any way accurate or not.

Remember, if you think you are 8%, have a look at this: http://www.muscletalk.c...-you-think-m3238076.aspx

    You reckon you're that lean?

The only way to be certain is to measure it, ideally with calipers or you can use a machine.
Your gym will probably have one.

You could be 182 lbs of rock hard muscle with 5% body fat or you could be 182 lbs of flabbiness- we have no way of knowing unless it is measured.

You could post a pic- which might get us closer- but really the only way to know is to measure it.

But is the crux of your response to this chap that you need a BF of below 10% in order for abs to be visible?

I've almost reached my training goal, but just have a few more pounds to lose.
