4 day split for a newbie....any advice?

4 day split for a newbie....any advice?

hi all...i'm 40 been out of training for 8 yrs and am 4 1/2 stone overweight!!!...i am starting back and want to start on a 4 day split...could any 1 advise a programme that will help me shed the weight and get me back in2 building? i prefer the 4 day split, as i prefer to concentrate on 2 - 3 bodyparts per session..many thnx...niceguy

    Peronally I would consider a three or even two day split. This would leave you more time to spend doing cardio.

    I would suggest performing cardio at least three times a week, and spend two days a week weightlifting. Of course once your muscles start building again (muscle memory also being on your side) your metabolism will raise. Get your diet sorted out and you'll be well on your way.

    Hi - just seen your question here. I see that you've had some good advice from PikeKing and others in another thread. There's also Frankies Full body workout two day split.. - you may find of interest/give you some ideas...
