A change of lifestyle.

I`ve turned 36 today and a couple of things have occured to me...

1.I`m fat

2.I`m unfit

I`ve trained for strength and mass for the last few years and have done quite well in those areas on a twice a week weights set-up with no other exercise. My strength levels are the best they`ve ever been and I like being one of the stronger blokes at the gym(natural as well).

However, the downside to this is that I`m between 16.5 and 17 stone and it ain`t all muscle .I get out of breath after 5-10 mins of playing football,am tired quite a lot of the time and am feeling older than my years!

My diet varies from not bad to bloody awfull,I don`t like hardly any veg but I do like all fruit.

I need to start doing some form of "cardio".Ice skating appeals to me and I think I could manage a couple of skating sessions a week as well as my weights.

Here`s my plan, please give me some feed back on whether it looks like it might work....

Weights sessions twice a week(Frankie`s 2 day set up)
2 Ice skating sessions a week
Diet-Here`s the problem I don`t know where to begin with a new diet as I`m a bit of a fussy eater.I work 12 hour day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis.I have access to a grill, fridge and a microwave and get quite a few breaks through the shift.I do like chicken,beef,pork/ham,some fish(got to be warm though),oats, milk, rice, yogurts, fruit, potatoes, bread(good job as i`m a baker ).
I`m hoping to be able to have a "cheat" day if that`s possible??

This is quite a challange I know but it`s time for me to get fitter, healthier and to strip this fat away to see what all my hard work has done.I`d really like to maintain as much strength and muscle as possible.

I`d really appreciate any help
