A program for my 58 Year old dad

Boys and girls I am well worried about my dads health. He is very overweight and has the basic diabetes (diet based controls).

My brother and I chipped in and with him bought him a treadmill. He is active at work but does not excersise at all.

Can you all help me to put together a cardio programme for him. Please keep in mind he is absolute beginner and is 58 years old.

Thank you very much!

Yeah walking sounds good, then incline walking for the first few weeks at least and maybe some resistance training when he's a bit fitter, swimming would also be good
