AM cardio for fat loss.

I want to go out and run for fat loss while I am cutting, and after I stop for sporting performance, however when I work I sleep at my work so cant do early morning cardio for fat loss on a empty stomach as I dont finish till 11am.
I only do 1-2 of these shifts a week, so it aint that much of a problem.

But 2-3 days a week I ill have my daughter staying and its not really convinenet to go out and leave her in the house for half an hour to go for a run, would going out the back and skipping for 20-25 mins be suitable for steady stae cardio for fat loss?

or would this be too intensive?

would doing 2 mins skipping, then resting a minute for half an hour defeat the purpose of steady sstate cardio as my heart rate would be falling in the rest periods?

I tried many different approaches to cardio over the years mate including HIIT and lots of skipping which is quite intensive. What I've found most effective for fatloss personally is long slow intensity durations of 45-50 mins either running in the park or cycling on an excercise bike in the comfort of my own home combined with a gradual reduction in kcals.
