Thanks ox and toke. Appreciate it guys

Sunday ..Early morning lifting. Could not believe how busy it was.. Lots of guilty people I bet.. Me included.

I did say I was just going to get through Christmas and start afresh when it was done. It's really highlited the issues I do have with food. All the weight I lost in the last SUC is back... And more.. 14kgs since mid to late November. Sitting at 151kg. F***sake.

Today's been really good though.. And feel so much better. My New Years resolution is going to be to log every single thing I eat or drink on myFitnessPal. And update that here. Good or bad. In process of finalising a diet I've been working on, something I can stick too, without getting the urge to smash things into my face. No
more crash diets that just exacerbate my mentals.

Right, my back. The last week rest has done wonders. No more pain but it's very tight and I can feel a knot when I bend forward. Im rubbing and stretching and rolling.Just going to keep at it.

Unsure when I'm going to be able to pick up with the 531 again. I'll give it a few weeks and see how squats and deads are feeling. I want to be 100% before I attempt another wave.

Decided to do a full body, and test waters. Back felt good but kept it light.

Tried out my new Gangsta Wraps I got for Christmas. Was thinking of getting a slingshot but felt I'd use these more. I could not believe how sturdy and secure bench and overhead felt. They're long, 36" son they go round loads and you can easily over tighten them, one set my hand turned blue! Love em! Now vids I've seen also say they can be used as knee wraps. Well they can't.. So now I need to get some proper knee wraps, as the gyms house ones are disgusting! Birthday in feb!

Nice session mate and good to see you positive.

If it helps, with dedication it can be done. I was sitting at 21 stone in 2008 after a bad accident involving an atlas stone, after learning to walk again i got properly serious about dropping weight and ended up about 12 stone and nearly tried to enter a BB contest but was not for me, strength is where it is at for me. I am now sitting just over 14 stone nearly as lean and my strongest ever.

Stay positive, stay consistent and this year you will get it done, good luck pal :) :)

Animal you glorious beast.

The festive season is food hell for people like us, however it's now over and a new year and new start beckons. This is where you lock it in and get the results you want. I know you can do it. The struggle is real though and I'm here to help where I can. I hve ups and downs with food and it's always the first thing I think about... I'm going to start using my fitness pal too and try to have a lot more accountability with my food. We can do it together mate.

I'm glad the back is feelin better, it's amazing what a good rest can do. Just keep an eye on it and look after it.

Those gangster wraps sounds ace. I've heard nothing but good things about Mark Bells products and I'm s huge fan of him and his work. I'm hoping to get some of the reebok power shows soon, do you know anyone who has them?

love them gangsta's mate. And no i don't know anyone who has got any of those shoes, although id love a pair. i find it so difficult buying shoes as im a 14 and im not keen buying off the internet, as i like to try them on first, so i have to get the specially delivered into a shop. its just a massive palava. but just seen reebok has a sale on!http://www.reebok.co.uk/outlet
some nice shoes(although most of them are crossfit branded, don't think i could bring myself to buy a pair of crossfitters ha)

Yeh bud it is so worth it. i've used it before and it does help massively. with the barcode scanner, i think its quite easy. ive been cooking in bulk and logging individual portions as ready made meals, so now its one click and a whole meal is logged. haven't looked into the social media side of mfp yet.

Wasn't well at all new years eve, threw up in the morning before work, felt really sick all day at work, didn't eat anything except a protein bar.

felt a bit better new years day, but still didnt really have a big appetite.

healthy eating begins. weighed in at 148.

i'm aiming for 3000 kcals a day, 300p, 150c, 135f. (40/20/40) if i hit it its ideal. if i'm under, it doesn't matter. i'm not going to go over unless its planned.

ive never tried losing weight with that amount of carbs, but i think i need to get my metabolism sorted, so going to stick to this for a while and see how it goes.

im going to stick to a regimented diet 4 days a week and then do some flexible dieting for the other days(with the help of MFP). i think this will help me with not binging and lets me enjoy family time too. this flexible dieting will be strict and healthy.

diet today was 2062kcals
190p
80c
105f

Nice gym session. Decided to test the waters on the back. low reps and just go up and see how i feel. Back was feeling strong but for some reason when i got to 170, legs were feeling peculiar. Glutes and hips especially , struggling to bring hips forward to lock it. very week and almost at the poit of if i go anymore, my form would proper break down. so stuck at 170 for today .. might just be the extended rest, dunno, never exprieced that before, normally my lower back is the weak link.

cheers bud. yes i think that has been my downfall in the past. ill plan a regimented diet thats just unsustainable, and then get downhearted if i strayed, even by a smal amount, and then the floodgates open. if i strayed off plan, that day would be a write off and i would easily blow 2 or 3 days worth of calories because i could, as the diet would start again tomorow. This way, i cant do that cause everything is logged and i'm accountable for my total cals. And eating carbs everyday is helping, especially getting through this breaking in phase.
