Sound rough mate, hopefully the speedy blood test results should yeild more information. Carbs really are the devil it seems!

Tattoo sounds mint mate. I love the idea of getting one but I need to convince myself I'll still like it in 10 years! Next time I'm over there I'm trying this 5 guys chain out. Cracking session mate and hope the tests come back okay.

Just wasn’t feeling stable at all on the eccentric.. didn’t want to push it.. it’s been going so well i haven’t even noticed it besides first half hour in the morning when it always gives me jyp. I’m going to be bringing back the squats in the new year it’s been feeling that good.

So doc confirmed no diabetic markers. Intact where diabetics can’t produce any insulin, I have more then normal in my blood stream (which makes sense as i can put on weight (both good and bad) very easily and I struggle to lose. When I take in a big meal, it’s not being cleared quick enough which causes a blood sugar drop. He thinks it could be non-diabetic reactive hypoglycaemia but I need more tests for confirmation and to be refered to a consultant.
For now I either need to eat no carbs, or little and often.

Well you always did say carbs didn't agree with you. Perhaps your suspicion is going to be medically authenticated! Sounds like it will be manageable too mate so good news on that front.

Cheers guys. Yeh I hope I get some proper answers soon. As much they don’t agree with me (I can really feel the difference with general lethargy and brain fog), you can’t knock what they can do for lifting. I’m hoping once I see a consultant I can get referred to a dietician who might know something about sports performance. I was very lucky with my physio for my knee. If not, I know what works for me, just means I won’t be able to use carbs as much as I’d like it in the quantity’s I’d like.
I’ve been thinking it could be in part down to the cyclic dextrin which I’ve been trialling. It’s so bio available, it doesn’t need to be digested at all, hits blood stream almost instantly, great for muscle growth and recovery but means for me at least a crash seems inevitable. I’ve made sure now that I take a slower digesting carb source after the CD to minimise any crash and also halved the CD intra amount.
Good gym session today, I’m dialling back total session volume a touch and going to increase frequency for next couple weeks. Going to wales for a long weekend so will be no training, and will use that as recovery/deload for this block.

Good to hear some good sessions under your belt. Strength looks good as well - although not as high as you can go! Love wales - we're going centre parks this weekend and im using it similar for r&r but would rather go wales/Cotswolds type place

Altho we never had the best weather in the world our week in Gower was a good memory (in fact I think that's where page 1 of my journal started). Will be interesting to see how things progress diet wise for you now (may even be worth bending James' ear for someone with an understanding towards your training)

On a bit of a downer at the mo. Had another crash monday. Wasn’t great and sent anxiety through the roof, now I’m just a walking worry bag. And I just generally feel sh!t all the time.. Except Training is going fantastically. Everything is going up so at least a positive. But diet is not 100%. I’m playing it very much by ear depending how I feel which never good for me so I need to keep it on track. I’ve been trying to get back to fasting to stabilise my blood sugar a bit but most I can get to is 12 hours. I’m slowly reducing carbs but until i go back to full keto I think I’ll struggle to fast. I’ve halved super juice dose in attempt to get rid of some of the lethargy and start some cardio again. I did 2x 20min AM Walk today and I suffered.
Probably be 4-5 weeks before I get a consultant appointment, so just need to get over Christmas with out killing myself or turning into a mince pie.
I’ll come visit your journals on the weekend, hope you’re all training hard!
