LOL! Loved the glance she gave at the chains! Sounds great though haha.

And well done on keeping the chrissy cals in check bud! It has potential to be a very dangerous time!

Tight lower back this morning. But threw some deficits in and just did a few sets. Dead’s are starting to move faster at these lower weights which is good.

I’ve decided since I’ve had such a good festive period and not blown up for first time I’m going to keep the momentum going with a further 6 weeks of strict weight loss focus but with keeping the strength movements in and using it as further GPP for a proper strength cycle. I’m going on a strict therapeutic keto diet (90% fat 10% protein).

good start to the new year, mate and a few more weeks of dialling it all in should be good.

The fact you have been able to restrain from a Christmas blow out speaks volumes for your state of mind these days.
Progress may start to come slower these next few weeks / months but the visual changes are going to come thick and fast from here I recon.

Cheers guys. I am feeling very good. That low blood sugar wig outs I was having gave me some much needed perspective and clarity I think. It was almost like the ghost of Christ future showing me what was instore if i didn’t sort it out. I am the only one in charge of my health. I worked my bOllox off all year and dropped a ton of weight, but brought too many carbs back too quickly and was starting to piss all the hard work I did up the wall. I need to continue what I’m doing eating wise which is what works for me and makes me feel good and then I will need to plan carbs better when it’s time to bring them back and probably seek help from a professional (maybe Derren Brown)

Had to get things done pronto this morning as had my daughter with me and by the time Deadlifts were done Mario Cart was no longer fun and she was getting bored.

Deadlifts felt heavy and OHP felt heavy! Perfect clues to tell me I’m back in a deficit! It will be interesting to see how the reduced protein affects my lifting.. currently only 10% of Cals.. I may have to increase this to 20%.

It's amazing how hard the post Xmas sessions can be. I know you didn't go mad on the food front but even changing from eating 'normally ' to a deficit can hit you. It's all that lovely water in the muscle that helps get things moving. I don't tolerate creatine but on the odd occasion I've used it my strength shots up.

Kids and training don't mix very well but sometimes we don't have a choice. Taking them is better than a missed session.
I train in my garage and my 6 year old son is permanently there getting in the way and asking nonstop questions. It's hard but it's life.

yep it is the glycogen pumps I miss the most!

My daughter must have said Daddy 500 times yesterday! Gonna have to change my name! We had a whole day out (starting at gym of course.. got her on the treadmill and she did some Leg Extensions and then she did some bag work ) went swimming after then I took her for lunch! She’s 6 too. And it’s that chatterbox stage they didn’t really have a year ago! I think it only gets worse as they get older

It’s good to see you still training hard mate! Pressing looking strong and in flip flops too... love it 😍

I know some people slag Nando’s but I have been f*cking abusing it recently. As long as the chicken is moist it’s bang on!
