Great result on the grading. I would love to fast forward and see how far you go with this.

Nice change up as well, I always enjoy switching routines up. A change is as good as a rest and all that.

Thanks mate! I remember going home after my first class and I stumbled on this motivational martial arts page on Instagram. This quote said

“How long does it take the average man to achieve a black belt?
An average man DOES NOT achieve a black belt!”

I knew then it was going to happen!

The change up is great, I’m loving it! I think these completely different blocks of training every 6-8 weeks is best thing I ever did.

Just some cardio and core today.

The wind was howling the morning. Constant 40mile an hour. It was lovely on the way out, but the last 3km was like pulling a sled!

Smashed my 1000m PB on the rower! From 3.59 to 3.53. Considering I haven’t rowed since about October the running must have helped my CV!

Weights tomorrow! Cant wait!

Nice going mate.

I keep meaning to ask have you smashed out that bunker in your back yard yet? Throwing that sledge hammer around would be worth some cardio for sure.

Nice work on the rowing. That's a big chunk of time.

I considered starting the cardio part of my cutting endeavours for the year today... I settled on climbing a step ladder to sort the curtains out

No mate not yet I’ve found out the roof is reinforced and has steel bars running through it. I’ll need to get an industrial style cutter and it’s gojng to be a fvcking ball ache! I could ask rad round with his dynamite but seeing as it’s a bomb shetter, not even that would work!

I’m back pulling from the floor! Lower back was in pieces at the end, really not used to it at all! Completely different to Rack Pulls. Had to wear a belt for the rest of the session to hold me together!

Moved well and always good to know you have a 200 in you with no training!

Well those 3 top sets took it out of me and had to have a 10min rest before pressing. Glad I did. I normally Press first and I remember why now!

Back up pressing 110kg Strict! Was a bit of a grinder but never in doubt. To push press and did a quick primer of 120kg and then dropped back to 100kg and nailed an all time PB of 10 reps!

Vids up on IG later!

You mean rebar? You could knock parts of it through and angle grind each bar. Take a lot longer and will be hard work, but if you're getting some cardio out of it why not lol.

I smashed up a set of concrete reinforced septic tanks years ago using similar method... but I did have the advantage of working from the top down though I might add.

Angle grinder should be fine for that mate.
100kg for 10 is pretty unbelievable, great effort.

Don't grind too much bud... you'll take all the fun out of the cardio lol.

Impressive session I might add!

Cheers bud. It did move well but now a few hours later my hands are seizing and almost have a burning sensation which is weird. Finger Doms! All the racks I’ve done and all my Rows/Pulldown I use straps so grip really hasn’t besn tested in ages. Well it was worked today!

Long fasted walk on the beach this morning.

Started with box squats although my lower back was still suffering from dead’s yesterday. Solid sets though, and had to dig deep with the 20 repper!

Bench moved ok. Focusing on getting that stability back and that top end Tricep strength.

Some good splits on the tower, really pushed myself on the last interval to the point of having to go outside to hacking up my lungs! 2 seconds quicker though. I’d like to get all splits sub 20 seconds.
