Accutane and liver values UPDATE blood test in

I just got a script for Accutane and they took a blood test for all the usual. I have low Chol so Im not worried there but has anyone had liver values done while on Accutane?

If so did they go up significantly?

I want to run a cycle while im doing this accutane thing because it will likely last 5-6 months but if it bumps my enzymes enough for them to drop me im screwed.

An injectable cycle won't effect your liver values. Though it could effect your lipid profile. Both of these are tested for in blood tests for accutane use

Stay away from any orals whilst on accutane though

Personally, I didn't find that accutane messed with my bloods too much. Though I was supplementing with L Carnitine at the time, as one study shows that this helps reduce adverse effects on lipids

Do you know how long it will take for the values to come back to normal after a oral course? What if I did 3 weeks then 1 week off prior to the blood test?

Well I got my liver tests back. There is a long list but these seem the most popular

    AST (SGOT) 18
    ALT (SGPT) 29

I stopped orals 2 weeks before this was taken. These seem pretty far from the high ranges right? I think I might risk the orals if accutane does not boost my values up at the next test.

They have me starting on 40mg ED.

Those enzyme values are within normal range. When I was having mine checked after quitting alcohol the normal range is between 0-50.

I had bloods done the other day, ive been on roac for 9 months.

As my good man drab said, injectables are fine. I done a long deca cycle whilst on.

My cholesterol was fine but now its a bit high. Mind you Ive been a complete bum over the last few months so that could be why.

For the record, I have drank heavily pretty much every weekend since Ive been on and my liver is sound! Im not saying to go out on benders but I think some dermos try and tell people that if they have a beer when on roac their liver will explode!!

yeah i'll 2nd that, i drank loads on accuttane as well (shouldn't really) and my values were fine too, i would have thought an oral cyle maybe more toxic, if u chose to do it just monitor accordingly mate

    good luck with it

ya just do lots of drug abuse and youll be fine. Drink lots of beer, smoke weed, take mushrooms, drop acid and take ecstasy. Dont forget to do bodybuilding once in awhile though......(woops gotta go wash down a couple of 17aa's with that beer someone just got me)...............
p.s. take up cigarette smoking(gives your skin that rosey look)
