Admitting you use gear??

Just out of curiousity, if someone complemented you on your muscles and asked if you were on gear, would you admit it or lie and dismiss the question like alot of guys at my gym who are clearly on it? A few guys admit they are on it and i find it takes balls to admit it.

So what would you guys say if asked?

Depends on the person, there some people i would tell which are very few but only because they either use themselves or are good mates and will help me out.

Depends what sort of a mood I'm in - if I think somebody is taking the piss or going to make a song and dance about it then I'll inform them that it is done of their business.

If they're genuinely interested then I'll usually talk openly about it.

To answer your question tho' ";-) it depends on what gym I'm at. the really boys only sweaty one's yeah I'd let on. But the big fancy one's in town, nah, you really don't know who to trust (well I don't, I mean) do you.

I assumed you meant the gym, outside of the gym I wouldn't generally admit it due to Joe Publics mis-conception surrounding steroids

Well i would probably admit it to someone in the gym but as for the rest, only about 5 of my close mates already know I am on them and that is because I needed the advice before I started them but I probably wouldn't even tell any of the rest of my mates let alone Joe public.

If it was a big lad Id say yeah because they would understand what else is involved sucj as intense training, good diet, rest and so on.

If it was just another dude, then I would say no.

Probably not unless it was someone i suspected to be a user aswell. Also would depend how it was said, as it could be said in a complimentary way or insulting

I don't tell people because I put in years of training beforehand and I also wrestled in college I was already strong before I began using and if I tell people then all the above is washed away... they will then think I am ONLY strong because of the gear, I've found the majority of the people in the US are fully ignorant on steroids when the subject has been breeched and secondly it's none of their business, I didn't even tell my last gf of almost a year, you never know who theyir next bf will be or who else they will tell and how they will be after a relationship ends!! only three people know I juice my brother my father and my mother and that's only because I have very close relationships with all of them!!

same as above, unless they are on themselves and know what hard work needs to be done its either kids who are too young and dont need to be on gear (myself included probably but thats a different story) or they will see everything as you just being on. Plus i don't advocate what im doing at all.

to somebody who understood gear i would be open but to your average joe i would keep it to myself due to the general misconception that non users have i.e steroids are muscles in a bottle and no hard work is required when imo most people who are on train that bit harder to maximise gains.

RE: Admitting you use gear?? 2007/06/09 03:27:14 (permalink)
Got to tell you this one. A few weeks ago my laptop crashed and took about a month to fix. So I had to go to my parents' house to use e-mail/check e-mail and get my MT daily dose. Anyway to cut a long story short I logged in to my bt account through my mams PC to check e-mails etc but didn't log out and she basically saw my source e-mails and what had been delivered to me.

Like all uneducated on the use of AAS, she goes mad on me telling me that these things will mess you up, give you rages etc. She then asked if I had tried any of what I'd bought and I said yes and quite the contary to her (media hyped brainwashed) oppinion, told her that I felt calmer than I had ever felt, which was the case.

She carried on about the physical risks etc, so I told her straight to not judge something that you have no knowledge of at all. She then goes on to say that these substances are not even prescribed by doctors- to which I showed her an article regarding sust (karachi sust is what I had) in the use of of TRT, and told her to do some research on how AAS users discover about dealing with sides, the neccessity of PCT/time 'on' time off etc. I then mentioned that I used the net to research AAS through people who have used them, are very experienced in the science behind the use and who advise on who is ready to use and who is not etc.

Needless to say I had her stumpted, she literally couldn't believe that I had been researching and the depth the mechanics how of pct works etc. I think her biggest worry was the injection (taboo!), I mentioned all of this to my Nan who is a retired midwife and she confirmed that my procedures where correct and that my mam was overreacting.

BTW I told my nan thatI'd never done a glute injection as I was afraid to hit the sciatic nerve, and she offered to do my injections for me.

Sorry for the long post (if you've read this far!!), but when someone uneducated critizes you etc regarding AAS> you can't lose if you've got all the right answers to their forseeable questions, its quite funny wrapping someone in knots who think they know the ins and outs of aas use. Just have answers on hand to their kocky questions/statements, i.e. the classic "look at his physique he's on the gear/its all roids/ just full of water etc" as if gear magically redefines your body without traing/diet etc, while these (some) people sit down in a bar/pub, necking shots of vodka, downing pint after pint in such a self deluded fasion.

I Fcking hate steryotyping the use of anything. How alcohol is acceptable on a social level but training/AAS use is frowned upon! by some

EDIT- I consider myself still at an early stage of the use of AAS, so my knowledge compared to others on MT is very limited This shows that if I was believed to be very knowlegable in her oppinion on the flip side the average person is very very very uneducated about gear.

I am with Big Mal on this one, nobody's business but MINE. I work harder now than when I didn't use gear and it pisses me off when people of little knowledge think you have a nice body only because you used gear. So I would just say no. I think most of us know that the average person has no idea what gear is all about and inevitably will miss judge you for using it.
