Advice on fueling before class

Hello

I would like to ask some advice on fueling. I’m an old Judo Player and Goju Ryu Karate guy. I’m almost 50. I now train in Gracie Jiu Jitsu about 4 days a week.

I leave work and I go to class straight from the office. I usually work out 2 hours. 1 hour beginner class and 1 hour advance). I try to eat banana or mandarin oranges before class.

I have problems with tremors. After class my arms and legs shake. I drink 1scoop of orange flavored Gatorade and 1 scoop of vanilla flavored Whey Protein mixed in water after my last class. That helps me recover. My recovery has been much improved since I started using this but my body still shakes after class, especially after the competition class.

I think a big part is not eating much before class. I don’t like to eat much before rolling.

What do you guys recommend I consume before class. The same thing I drink after class or just the Gatorade minus the protein?

Thanks for your support.

have something slow like a homemade oat bar an hour before class

also make up some gatorade and sip that between your session if theyre that intense, this will help you avoid going hypoglycaemic (which is what hand tremors are indicative of)
