An Alfa with electrical problems, who'd have guessed it

Festar: You can't plead poverty with 2 cars. That's like a little Kenyan chap pleading poverty with 2 packets of uncle bens rice hidden under his bed.

So it's starting in lpg then switching back over to petrol and then is it possible to switch it back to lpg again?... where it will obviosuly switch back?

If it is i'd get the pressure regulator on the lpg checked and cleaned. If it runs OK on petrol but won't stay switched to gas then it's probably a gas pressure problem.

Red - who'd have thought eh? (altho in reality for me at the mo !).

    Slight update now.  Worse!

When starting the car the lpg system is available.  10 seconds later (regardless of whether you start the engine or not) the led's turn off on the LPG fuel gauge/change over button and stop being available until you turn the car off and remove the key from the ignition.  Basically, lpg isn't available to use.  Runs perfectly on petrol.

Sounds like the injectors to me,blocked or just gone.
    Needs a diagnostic for sure

When the injectors block it prevents the fuel up take so reverts back to petrol to prevent engine being starved, hence start stop of LPG

Got a good guy up this way if you want his number for over the phone advice mate
