Alternating deads and cleans

I follow a 3 day pull push leg routine and have recently got a bit jaded with deadlifting every week as the first exercise on the pull session. So i have decided to mix it with alternating deads with cleans on the pull session. Could this alternating switch be in any way complimentary?

that's 1 week on deads then 1 week on cleans, to avoid any confusion.

I think it's a good idea you cant go wrong with cleans.
My advice though would be to deadlift/pull with the same grip at lets say 120% of your cleans right after them.
Make them explosive just like a clean but heavy enough for you not to be able to clean them.
You'll soon get the benefits and your cleans will improve as well.

i have done cleans and then deads straight after on the same day for years (over 20) so you dont need to alternate if you dont want to. check out the proresss journals of olympic lifters lots train this way.
