Not sure if the NB are available in the UK yet.

Iv'e been using my vibrams for long walks quite a bit during the dry spells over the last couple of weeks and I rate them highly.

Lucky I live in the country though and barely anyone see's me

Cheers mate, im in estonia not Uk so i doubt it will matter on availability ill be ordering from whichever country is cheaper.

i think the vibrams look more suited to what i want though. Barefoot running is top of my agenda once my knee op has been done so the vibrams i think will get me as close to that as possible.

    Which pair do you use?

    cheers

Iv'e got the classics but I wish I had gone for the sprint which has a strap over the front or maybe the KSO's
Sizing is a bit of a lottery as you have to buy 1 or 2 sizes smaller.

Cool, KSO's were the ones i planned to go for also. Found them for 40euros delivered which i thought was a great price.

I read the book 'Primal Blueprint' which they highly endorsed the VFF (vibram five fingers). From that I started reading the so many positve reviews and decided to buy pair.
Iv'e had them for 5 weeks and have worn them for walking (mostly uneven trails) nearly every day from 15min to over an hour.
I really look forward to walking in them now and feel my posture when walking in them feels perfect. Also I feel the muscles in my feet, ankles, calves and shin area have improved greatly.

interesting, will have to check that out. hopefully theres an online PDF.

My reasons are simaler, i hate shoes have done since i was a kid, (took many a beating for not wearing them)

I partially blame them for my dodgy back and knees, have you seen the you tube video that highlights the extra pressure placed on the joints due to improper running technique wearing trainers? once ive had this op im never wearing trainers for sports again.

Good to hear that things are improving for you wearing them though. Shall be ordering this week!

I'm not really sure about that website mate it sounds too cheap to me.
They even offered free postage to the UK which is suspicious.

    VFF's are highly faked;

Ahh crap, looks like i was about to be scammed there then. Ill stick to authorised dealers.

I owe you one, certain pairs on there do appear to have dodgy branding..gutted :(

The website you posted looks great, just reading through a few of the articles, other than the VFF's lots of things on there im interested in.

Yeah, I did see a US website selling VFF's for $49 a couple of weeks back but postage to the UK was $71!
That website looks like a US site but has no contact address or telephone number I can easily find.
    Might be wrong though.
    Got mine from www.baselayer.co.uk

€40 sounds like a fake to me, or maybe stolen.

I have a pair of the originals but not done any running in them yet (I do intend to), if you're doing offroad running I'd definitely go for a pair with the closed top to stop crap getting in.

There is a sizing guide on the Vibram site which worked well for me - http://www.vibramfivefing...e_conversion_chart.htm

You should be aware that once you start wearing them random people will ask you about them.
