American Psycho

Will someone please tell me what the fukc happened in the last quarter of the film.. Ive googled it for hours and still am none the wiser, yes I see its playing on the yuppy era and mentality.. but .. what the fukc happened at the end?

    I was also wondering this.

    My mate suggested that his lawyer covered it up. He made a phone call to his lawyer after the end killing spree...maybe his lawyer sorted it for him then denied knowledge of it?
