Amino Supps

Hi guys - just putting the feelers out on whether people think there's much merit in amino supps. There's one we could start importing, sounds impressive enough (totally digested, 99% utilised), and has studies (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=14669816&query_hl=3 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=14669815&query_hl=3). From what they're saying 0.4g/kg a day would keep you in positive nitrogen balance as your sole source of protein and build muscle, though that would clearly be an expensive way to go about things. Does anyone on here use something similar? If so how much do you use/how much does it cost?

cheers

I wouldn't bother personally with them. Providing your diet is reasonably varied with different protein sources, coupled with a whey supplement, I think there a waste of time/money.

Cheers Partyboy. Given such a massive response, I don't think I'll be pushing for getting them in...!

is it the same as bcaa? if so, i used them. the ones i use are by extereme, 500 caps in a tub, costs about £16 including delivery. i didnt realise a real difference in stregth or size but i just took them with my diet.

i take 6-8 before morning cardio, 6-8 after morning cardio then 6-8 after weight training and cardio. i dont drink a protein shake inbetween weights and cardio so have the caps.

i did notice i started less acne though, strange

Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.
There is no room for junk food in any diet whatsoever, leave the junk in the bin.
