Amsterdam 'Must Do's'

Looking for recommendations please!

Also if anyone can recommend a good 'smart' shop (closer to the main station the better) for shrooms that would be good.

I used to do them on school nights, in my bedroom, until I had a bad trip and decided it was probably safer using my bed for sleeping in instead of wild drug induced journeys.

Yes do some mushrooms and go on a boat trip.
Have a look at some of the online guides for good shops mate.
Obviously be aware of your security if you plan to get ripped and walk about, plenty of pickpockets look out for tourists walking around off their faces.
Although I have always found it to be one of the safest cities to visit.

Barneys is mint really good bud and hash ( polm, charas, bubble, ice etc). Expensive though. You can go to the breakfast bar and then blaze after yer scran. Theres some good coffee shops on the outskirts too. Much cheaper but great quality. Not the same experience as in the centre. Been several times knew a dude who lived in sloterdijk so he showed me around the cheap places on the outskirts.

Amsterdam is passed it now, still alrite but nothing special, stick to voyagers and grey area for the coffee shops with the best weed, some others are ok, but grasshopper etc just pure touristy rip off shops.

On your first time it's a difficult time finding stuff, so have your iPhone handy, the place is just filled with food places and bars and touristy crap, be sure to go to Albert heijn up near dam square (it's their supermarket) where you can get goodies for your room for normal prices, everywhere else is just a rip off, explore the red light, but be wary if thinking about going in as most will look to rip you off.

You see some decent girls there, but not like you did years ago, a few years back I honestly see one of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen in my life, she was perfection went in with her and had the greatest experience she was so nice as well it was ridiculous, when I came out my mate had got chatting to a group of guys and when I came out with a big grin on my face and she pulled back the curtain, the guys faces were a picture, they were like you just went in with her, and commended me on having the courage to go in with something so fricking beautiful, I'm not gonna lie I built up some Dutch courage before going in with her, as she was so fecking hot I felt a nervous wreck but when I did it was worth it, a fair few of my mates have gone in with pretty average girls and been ripped off, having their money taken without getting anything in some cases, one mate done 200 euros on one just to finish off, most are looking for easy money, and not having to do what they're making you think they'll do, just be wary should you consider it, which I think you might as when you're on that district and sexy women almost fully exposed tap their window in front of loads of other men saying I want you, it makes you think twice believe me.

Also I recommend going into a restaurant called CAU, it's just round the corner from the grand hotel krasnapolsky (that's where I usually stay) and does the most lovely steak, it's a 3 floor restaurant, and the steak is the best I've had there.

And if you're looking for a good night out then hit Rembrandt square, where you have the escape night club etc, they also have a lounge now which is a nice place to chill.

After a few nights you'll be fed up I always am, and the mac ds Burger King and subway diet starts to make you feel a little sh*t after a few days lol.

Also pop in one of their waffle and pancake shops when you're stoned, they're good them waffles with cream and strawberry sauce on top.

Thinking off the top of my head:
Favourite coffeeshops: Dampkring (the one further south near Vondel Park), both Barnies, - Dutch Flowers also sells some lovely flush weed.
Vondel Park is also gorgeous, - really buzzing, about 1.5 miles long, open air theatre,
There's some good clubs around with live music but can be exensive, - loads of great restaurants, some of their argentine steakhouses are fantastic, - there's a fab one near Anne Frank's house
Anne Frank's house.
Hire a bike - or do a bike tour
Go for a smoke on top of the science museum roof
Hard Rock Cafe is also nice
I just love floating around on a bike, getting lost, chilling out at various Places watching the world go by, - me and my girlfriend go for 4-5 day breaks there some years - fabulous city - very very relaxed

also
Download the Amsterdam offline map - life saver, - get lost and you can type in the road name and it'll show you exactly where you are - great zoom in/out ability.
Download the offline coffeeshop map.

Oh yes - those waffles are something else... - and the milkshakes in Dampkring are amazing too

I probably should have said - I've been before, a few years ago. Not sure what has changed since and is now worth doing.

I won't be visiting any red light girls though - I agree that some of them are stunning, and they did try to get me to join them but they don't really have what I'm looking for...

I went for 4 days in the 90's and the only thing I can remember is the journey there. I have never been in such a state since.

Six times, for 2 nights each time, a few times with friends, and a few with the ex misses.

Try and make the effort to find the Gray Area coffee shop. It's run by two Americans and it's known amongst canna experts the world over as the best bud selection in the city. The Super Silver Haze is incredible and a great start to any day in the dam.

Dampkring, as already said, is awesome but if the music gets to you in there find Tweede Kamer, it's a quiet place but run by the same people with the same selection. The hash in both places is amazing.

I'm not planning on smoking any weed by the way, I've never smoked even a cigarette in my life and have a total aversion to smoking!

I had space cake last time I went and it did nothing for me, hence why I want to try the shrooms this time.

I'm planning to do the Heineken brewery tour which should be good. I've had a look at some of the sex shows etc but don't really think I'll bother, not sure about going to a sex club either as I wouldn't be indulging (going with partner and friends) and it would be quite annoying to be having to fend off advances if we're just going as observers. Plus I'm not taking any of my 'kit' as we're only taking one item of luggage!

Super silver haze is nothing special, you get all the sativas over here, it's all about the indica, OG kush and the kush blends in grey area as that's what you don't get on these shores.

I've had better hazes here than what they have in dam.

True about gettin better bud here. You go to some places and they try and mug you off with pure shwag. I be like "fool u betta break da high grade befo' I choke the **** out of u -bitch! " In all seriousness ive grown better than some of the bud i got offered and smoked in the dam.
