Any over 40s or over 50s planning on competing in 2011?

Any of you folks planning on taking to the stage in '11?  If so, which show?  Is it your first time or are you a seasoned competitor?  Or are you making a comeback? Bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, Olymic lifting, fighting, fitness or other...

I shall be dieting down for my second pro show in October. Have gained a little too much bodyfat having taken last year out so am looking forward to getting in shape again. I love the feeling of being in fabulous shape at 45

    Hi James,
I'm competing in the NPA Yorkshire physique May 28th and then would lke to do the BNBF two weeks weeks later in Bogner.
I competed last year after a break from training.
I'm now 51 and my gole this season is to try and improve on last years results by having some more muscle. I did manage to gain  about 7lb over the off season, I just hope some of it was muscle.

Hi, new member here...hello to all. I will be 56 in September. I wanted to compete in the IBFA show in Northumberland on June 4th but have a serious problem with my thyroid. So I will be there as IBFA representative for Greece but not competing .

I have 8 weeks on meds to try to shrink a benign tumour otherwise I have to have surgery. If I have surgery I will not compete till next year. If I don't need it I may well look for a European show to enter at the end of this year.

55 and feeling great! You are never to old to become what you once wanted to be!

I'll be competing at the BDFPA European Championships on May 7th having qualified at the British in March. I'm 44 now and lift in the 82.5 kg class.
I'll never be a record holder or lift weights that are anything more than almost respectable but there's more to Powerlfting than lifting weights
I would say I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been in, physically and mentally.

    Nabba in November hopefully.
I'll still do the novices rather than over 40s though.
