Anyone addicted to the science channel?

I for one am. My wife hates it. I don't understand what's so bad learning about our earth, space, animals, or even ourselves. She would rather watch some crap reality show w/ no substance(seems to me anyway).

I just got Sky tv again because the ordinary channels are truly garbage most of the time. I have to say History Channel and National Geographic are the two I watch mostly, except when my g/f watches Sex & the City repeats over and over again........

Yes I watch Discovery most days, unfortunately I only have the basic Discovery channel, which is filled with garbage about ERs, forensic detectives, etc etc, also there's only so many programs about big machines you can watch.

I think Discovery Science probably has more interesting and varied content, but alas I can't afford it right now

National Geogrphic and Animal Planet for me, there is nothing better.
I would be well happy been a present of a nature\wildlife show, every day would be so interesting compared to the dullness i suffer now!

I like Discovery, big stuff and as I get older I have developed an urge to build Shaker furniture

I like the war history stuff. War walks etc I love those Sandhurst dudes. I've been to a few historical battle sites, and to say your hair stands on end is an understatement.

I've got really sad recently and got into Rome total war, but that's another story.

Alas I can't/won't get the channels mentioned so far in here. However, I do have the digital Freeview so get to watch UK History from time to time. Some fascinating stuff in there I was'nt aware of up to now.

    Cheers

Women aren't generally as interested as men in learning about science and how the world works.
