Anyone got there own ultrasound?

i was thinking of buying a portable one of e bay, can get a 3mhz one which is quite powerfull to aid muscle recovery following injury. there 150 notes. just wondered if anyone had used or got one

    How does that work then? I'm doing an Ultrasound course at the moment (for Non Destructive Testing) didn't realise it was used as therapy,

    eh, aren't ultra sounds to see babies before their born?

    As well as detecting internal bleeding and so on.

    Yeah, phased array, they are high end sets, the ones we use are for detecting defects in solid materials, ie aircraft parts, fairground rides, offshore equipment and such like,

    Hospital gave me an ultrasound doo-dad to help heal my arm after surgery to fix a wonkily healed bone and a bone graft.An "exogen bone healing system"
    Has a wee ultrasound pad and what looks like a big calculator attatched(it's a bit on the big side.)
    Supposedly it encourages bone growth and re-generation.
