No, I wish I wasn't so old otherwise I would love to give it a go, DJ'ing and producing. Gonna check your SC later, but seems like you may have similar tastes to me on some things. Check this thread out

back in '98/'99 i was well into it, used to share my mates numark decks/mixer, throw house parties and whack on some trance. used to love mixing and was quite good too.

i bet i could still do it, like riding a bike

Like to put dubstep & dnb mixes together on ableton live, but wouldn't call it djing or producing, just messing about and creating some mixes for my own enjoyment

Only 2 mixes on there at the moment though

    Yep

DJing I have a pair of CDJ200s with an A&H Xone 22, but recently got a Traktor S4 so don't use the Pioneers so much.

Production done on Ableton, but I don't really have the patience/attention span for it tbh so I never get anything finished.

Oh and about 99% of what I buy/listen to is techno, with a bit of tech-house thrown in from time to time.

Keep meaning to get some mixes up on my soundcloud...

Mixes, individual tracks, whatever, you can upload 2 hours worth of stuff at a time for free, then you have to pay extra for more

Hmm not sure..its seems to work based at being able to link thru to Facebook. Twotter etc..sites I cant be bothered with TBH..not so much as a stand alone site.

Also..stupid situation..but I accidentally wiped a back catalouge of all teh stuff I produced over the years..and have jsust been left with teh raw file of teh mixdowns..so I cant rmember what I named all the trakcs...that was a good day

I'm into my DJin but only like to mix on Technic 1210 turntables.

These are the best imo,I remember starting out on crappy belt drives which I mastered, then moved on to Technics,I believe there are other good direct drives, not that I've tried many.

But nowadays it's all about CD decks it seems,if I were to invest in some of these I'd go for the pioneer ones, after watching EZ do some cool stuff using them,I'd go for these.

But yeah I used to love DJin and to be fair in a mixing and chopping sense I was pretty good.

My music was garage, grime garage and I could also mix house hip hop and drum and bass

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Used to DJ a lot when younger, now I just love listening to mixes.  Mainly trance and hard dance stuff at the moment.  My dad brought my old decks down to Glasgow for me a month ago and seeing all of my old vinyl again brought back some fond memories!  Should really set them up and go through all the old tunes again for a laugh

I occasionaly do a bit of stuff at home, with some basic set up, or some easy mixing with mixmeister, nothing serious though just a bit of a play around.
As for styles literally anything, started with house but thats pretty easy to do i found, but still enjoyable.
Also have a go at dubstep, DnB, infact pretty much anything really, even some chart stuff from time to time
