Anyone work in a call centre

Guys

Ive got a job interview next week for a customer service job in a call centre . Im willing to give it a go as ive only ever worked in a warehouse or on a roof . Anyway my GF reckons i wont last as customers will be irate and i'll end up going nuts with the amount of calls i'll be answering . . I said its worth a try as i have good keyboard skills and the money wont be bad . is it that bad working in call centres?

I've worked in one. its not too bad as you can control when you want a call, after each call you can go on "not ready" and get a breather before the next call. You normally get loads of training on all scenarios and then you'll be sat with someone listening after that for a few weeks, before your on your own. My advice would be go along and sit with someone listen to the calls and decide if you wanna stay after.

Unless your in the complaints section then you should be fine

Did it for a couple of years: it's easy work. Not challenging, very repetitive, but easy money. Watch your ass on that swivel chair though: its easy to put on a ton of weight switching to office work!

If you get internet access, it's a breeze. It doesn't take long before you can do the calls on autopilot while surfing forums!
