Apollo to be BANNED!

Not from MT.

Just recieved my DVLA letter informing me that I can legally drive for another 3 days, then Ill have to re-apply for my provisional and re-take my theory and practical tests.

Im not that worried as Im confident to re-pass in around a month or so and Im going to Greece for a couple of weeks anyway while Im on the waiting list to re-take my practical.

Just wondering what people think about the insurence companies insuring me on a 1.6 Audi A3 after this?

Somone I know just passed their test and was insured on a 2.0 Honda Civic.

Im nearly 25 years old.

When did you take your test, its very very different from when I did it (about 10 years ago or so), ,I dont think I would come close to passing my test again these days.

Id say alot of people are lucky to not have their licence revoked within 2 years and most people who passed their test before the new drivers act would not pass a test these days.

But even though this is affecting me I do actually agree with pushing for road saftey. Although I think allowing only 6 points in 2 years is a little harsh.

I took my test 15 months ago and got 6 points thus losing my licence. Bugger lol.

Going above 30 miles per hour twice on 2 seporate occasions, one with a speed camera and second caught by a police satelite car.

My dad said there are ways around it, such as putting the car in his name and being the secondary insured driver among other ways and he said no way would I ever have to degrade myself from driving the A3 to a lower car.

Is just one flash of a speed camera = 3 points?

yeah apollo youre dad could insure ther car in his name but dont forget that often no no-claims are obtained (some insurances are doing this now)

our kid was at uni for 6 years so was a named driver for 6 years and when she came to get a car had no no claims

one question, what is a satellite car?
