I know it would vary from place to place, I'm just after a rough figure.

Really? bloody hell I imagined it would cost much more than that. I know it's only one colour but there's quite a lot of detail.

I'm surprised at that figure too - I'd have thought it would be much much more.  Although tbf the amount I know about tattoo costs is approximately the same as the amount J Clarkson knows about fashion.

Maybe I can afford one after all!

hard to say, for instance local to me a guy works from a studio in his own home, very good, professional set up etc just based at home charges in the region of less than half that of the local shop type set ups.
Just as good and in many instances far better IMO too.
But i imagine that under £400 would be about right for most places based on the work ive seen workmates etc have done.
The tattoo youve posted though for me isnt a particularly good looking design at all, sorry.

Lol, no need to aopolgise m8, you're entitled to your opinion. I quite like it, it's a bit more detailed than the usual tribal tats you see. What style do you like m8?

nothing in particular but this is just random squigles to me mate, and just looks much the same as all the other tribal sleeves that seems to be everywhere now.
Hard to be individual with this sort of stuff i suppose, there is only so much that can be done i guess.
Some tribal i like some i dont.
ps i have a tribal design across my traps so im not just a 'hater' lol.

The total arm job in the first pic would cost around 6 to 8 hundred quid around the local shops.

It looks kind of dated to me.

(But then of course, tattoos are personal. If you like it, that's all that matters).

You a fan of Babalu hey?

I think he has had that tattoo for ages, and I think it fits in with his personality from what i've seen.

    Avoid hands and neck though!

I would also add that it doesn't matter what it costs, - you've got it for life, - get exactly what you want, - price shouldn't influence your decision in the slightest :)

I agree actually, it does look a little dated... - although it does still look pretty good tbh.

I'm a strong believer that style never goes out of fashion.  You need to get something that looks good, - but isn't fashionable or common.  It's a tricky thing.

if you are going to get a full sleave, i would do it proper and spend at least £1,000 - £1,500 on it. make it personal and meaningful . It will be on your arm for life. Its a small investment

at least when your grand kids asks why when you are 50 / 60 /  70 / 80  - you can explain the reason behind each sketch. And not just say Tribal tatoos were popular in 2002. -

P.S this was only my advice as I would think long and hard before anything that is on you permanently

If you like it then go for it

but then again we cannot predict the future, and all those with LOVE and HATE on their knuckles will probaly be thinking the same :)

I want a tattoo, but I want something that means something to me - if your tatoo means something to you then you should get it, as its not just a trend, it is personal

most good tattoists charge around 50-60 per hr ,im guessing that would be around 10hrs work so im guessing 500ish .
im sure you could get that tattoo cheaper as the quality isnt great

i used to have a handle on life but it broke

I've wanted a tattoo for about 15 years and in all that time I've never had the slightest idea of what to get.  Ntt looking promising so far!
