Are you OK with showing your privates to your GP?

My right testicle is rather sore of late.

It's not a lump, I'm quite sure of that. It simply feels a little tender, and I would like to have it checked out.

I've known my GP for 11 years, and whilst I wouldn't call him a mate, he knows me well and we have a good relationship.

I can't help but feel that if I were to walk into his surgery and get my knackers out, it may affect this good relationship we have.

Could things ever get back to how they were?

Personally I think this testicle tenderness is due to my recent return to AM cardio. I do it naked on a recumbent bike and my gonads tend to flop about. It's not painful or anything at the time, but maybe the tenderness is a delayed reaction.

Anyway, are you cool with letting your GP check out your bits?

Yeah I see no problem with it. I would rather show my doctor my nuts to nip a problem in the bud than not go and let it get worse.

It won't. Believe me, fine as your crown jewels may be, he's seen them all.

I say that from being on both sides of that particular examination too.

yep. My GP has had his fingers up my ass a few times. The first time was scary although he was gentle. I now feel like we know each other more

I had a twisted testicle about two years ago.

The sooner you get this checked out the better matey, because if you've got a twisted testicle, the blood stops flowing, and it will die.

I had no problem dropping my boxers, shes seen it all before, and i have nothing to be ashamed of (or so im told).

    Is your testicle swollen?

When I get tired and want to stop,
I wonder what my next opponent is doing,
I wonder if he is still working out,
    I visualise him,
When I see him still working,
    I start pushing myself,
    When I see him quit,
    I start pushing myself harder.

Start wearing some shorts then if you think this is causing it!

I don`t mind either way tbh, more than a few have handled it/them, must have been 3-4 just when I had the snip (big job you see ) although my current GP is a lovely looking girl and I would imagine most blokes wouldn`t complain if it was her.

I had a series of bad colds in 2006. I woke up one morning to find I lost almost all the sensation in my penis. Its been like this since then, I've got used to it now but I really need to get it checked out. I'm apprehensive for similar reasons

Jango, you need a psychiatrist to look at your head, not a GP to look at your nuts.

And no i don't have a problem with my female GP inspecting my nuts.

they are professionals and wont give it a moments thought

TBH they would prob find it less bothersome than seeing a very old person who simply complains & moans about everything

just whenever you see any medical professional be polite, concise & to the point

DONT try and self diagnose to the GP, dont moan about irrelevant stuff etc you will be fine m8

So are you saying that you've had virtually no sensation in your penis for nigh on two years and you've never had it checked out?

    Is it even still there?

Do you not like the idea of having it looked at by anyone, or is it just your doctor you don't want to show it to?

With me it's just my GP I'd rather not go to, but if I become suitably concerned about it I don't mind going to the GU unit at the hospital. They don't know me there, so they can play with my balls as much as they like.

I can't enjoy sex or masturbation I'm spending the entire time preventing the erection from going down. Erections are much less hard. I got a referral from my GP to a neurologist without having to show him anything but I never booked an appointment. At least now I have an excuse for it being all shriveled. I'm half the man I used to be

To be honest I'm **** scared what they might say to me and what I've got might be permenant. That's what scared me more than flopping it out to people

I was a bit self concious when i had a twisted testicle, i didn't know what to do, i hoped it would go away by it's self. It dident, so i went to my GP, she told me that my right testicle was twisted, and that it was a common problem, she booked me in at the hospital, and i was in and out in two days. The Op was a success and they saved my ball!!!
Im lucky i went when i did, other wise i would be minus one testicle!

What exactly does a twisted testicle feel like, and did your GP diagnose it straight away without X-RAYs etc?

He's a professional & will deal with it okay. I'm sure it's nothing he's not seen before. So long as you don't get wood when he examines you, you should be okay.

Your painfull bollock is probably nothing dangerous, but it may be something sinister or turn into something sinister if ignored. So you have to ask yourself would you rather die than show then to a professional??

Please don't take what I say too literally. I'm a clown, when it's all said and done. Sometimes I say things with my tongue in my cheek to make people laugh, but please rest assured I am not laughing at *you*!
