AutoGlass

Driving on the motorway this morning a stone flew up and chipped my windscreen.
I arrived at work and phoned up Autoglass, they dealt with my insurance company for me and turned up bang on the time they said they would.
All done in 15mins, only had to pay £10 excess as well.

Now thats service!

Its refreshing to deal with companies like that

talking to the guy who fixed it, he said he was recently taken on as part of a 3 man team on top of what the local area had.
must be good times if they are hiring?

    Autoglass repair. Autoglass replace.

On a side note, a mate earns a fortune doing this as his business, decent Market.

I'm not covered with them through insurance but needed a crack repairing, I approached them and they quoted me ridiculous prices. Ended up getting it done elsewhere for 1/3 of the price.

    ^^^
That. Fine if an insurance job and you're not paying personally. If you are paying personally their prices are just silly - not even close to the competition. They're propped up by the fact that they seem to be the choice of the insurance companies, but if they lose that they won't last long.

I would love to know Autoglasses advertising budget, bloody hell.

Pleased you've had a good experience, but for me personally I would use a local guy who offer the same service

Are they a franchise? They did a decent job on mine but it took weeks to get them to come.

It was autoglass that inflicted nearly £2k worth of damage to one of our company cars. When cutting through the seal around the windscreen with a stanley knife they went straight through to the paint. It wasn't long after that the windscreen needed replacing again (another crack thanks to the stones on the road from the inability of the council to repair them - thats another story!) Anyway when they came to replace the screen they showed us the rust behind seals. They should have shut up as they had to fit the bodyshop repair bill of £2k after admitting it was their fault!
