BB curls vs Pulley curls

What do you guys recomend for using. I really hate BB curls and enjoy Pully curls. Im doing frankies 5*5 routine and on pull day i would like to swith these. Should i be getting the same resoults with the pully??

    Stick with the barbell curls mate....why do you dislike them - lack of progress of what?

    Close grip chins would be a better alternative.

    Thanks guys. One more question though!!!.. What about when i bench.. will i get the same workout from a Smith Machine?? I dont have spotters and was using the Smith machine to work out, so i want to know if its the same.

    No, it's not. The Smith machine is crap. Dumbbell presses and weighted dips are better mass builders than barbell bench IMO anyway, and you don't need a spotter to do them.

    Same question really as Balin above re. bench work. I too have access to a Smith machine and dumb-bells but no spotter and no barbells. Problem is the d/bells only go up to 35kg which I can already lift for reps. I also do dips with weights but would the Smith machine be of any use due to the fact that I can add a lot more weight to my lifts (albeit 'assisted' by the smith machine)?
