BBQ food unhealthier?

I was just wondering whether BBQ'ing food is any unhealthier than normal roasting/frying as in fat/calorie wise?
Just had one now and counting my cals up, there's been no extra sauces etc used im just talking about the actual cooking of the food.

If you're just cooking it and adding nothing i can't see it being much different than say using a foreman grill nutrition wise.

Unless you incinerate it to give it some charcoally goodness it should be fine.

I think I remember reading somewhere that incinerating food on the BBQ, can possibly cause carcinogens?

Well if you are not frying it, i.e. not adding oils, etc... then it isnt going to add calories.

If anything it should have less calories as you aren't using oil. Nice steak in teriaki marinade done on the grill, its what summer is meant for!

BBQing food increases the production of compounds called PAHs (caused by incomplete combustion) but you would do well to ever suffer any damage from it

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die

Chances are though you have to cook it to the point where it resembles coal
