BMR based on total weight or LBM

How do you guys calculate your BMR - is it based on your total weight or LBM taking your BF % into account?

i can imagine it is the total weight as there is no way apart from submerged bf% analysis (or dexascans?) that can give you an accurate bf% figure?

that explains it - i calculated my BMR by accounting for BF and the figure was 1600kcal for an active person! that meant if i wanted to lose 2lbs a week i would need to consume 1100kcal a day!!!

without bf taken into account its 1880kcal - more realistic!
